Overall opinion: 2.5 out of 5.
My first impression of this book from the prologue was not great. But as I kept reading I became interested in the plot by about chapter 7. The characters were not very relatable to me, they seemed like caricatures of the roles they played. But that had its own charm in a way. It felt like a high school Disney drama mixed with a dark murder mystery. It did have some good twists and foreshadowing. The writing that was essential to the plot was well done and detailed, but the rest of the story details came across a bit lazily written.
